So for all those South Africans out there who are up in arms about the anti Obama protests, its pretty clear that you have no idea on what's happening in the world globally from a political perspective. The protests are not against American people but rather against the US foreign policies.. America has a bullying attitude and this needs to change. They love sticking their noses into other countries internal affairs. The South African government has also succumbed to their bullying with regards to oil and petrol. South Africa was buying oil from Iran at discounted prices but due to pressure from the USA we were asked to now buy petrol and oil from Saudi Arabia ad hence the increase in petrol prices. Obama has done nothing when it comes to the Israel Palestine conflict. In fact he has funded Israel with billions of dollars in money as well as arms and ammunition. With regards to rolling out antiretrovirals in Africa, the American pharmaceutical companies are cashing in billions. Let us not forget that there is strong evidence showing that the HIV virus was produced in a USA laboratory at a time when pharmaceutical companies in the USA were in huge financial problems. Obama has surpassed Bush when it comes to drone attacks on innocent civilians and many USA soldiers have now spoken up against the atrocities that the USA government has committed against innocent people. The USA is only looking out for its own interests not the interests of the world on a global scale. It is ironical that America wishes to churn out genetically modified foods into poor African countries and yet first world countries have rejected the option of using genetically modified food. It is alarming at what this food when consumed can do to human beings. It triggers cancers and causes infertility in women especially. But then again I guess this is what big brother America wants.. After all Bill Gates mentioned that it is imperative that the worlds population be halved to safeguard resources..America needs to get one thing straight.. Their enemies are not our enemies and this is exactly what Nelson Mandela asked when he was questioned about his relationship with the maverick Gaddafi.. Go home Obama.. We have no oil to give you!!!

An encounter with a God-fearing Christian

I spent a pleasant afternoon on a warm sunny day in southern California in the company of a God-fearing Christian who was concerned about what he perceived to be the evils of Islamic ideology. It was evident that he considered the religious movement as one that would threaten his world and existence.

That is hardly unusual as there are perhaps many with similar sentiments. In the aftermath of the events of September 11, 2001 with the bombings of the World Trade Center towers in New York, many could have been forgiven for considering that such a threat was indeed credible.

Such sentiments were cemented when the President of the United States, at the time, George W. Bush declared a crusade against the perpetrators, invoking a disturbing scenario of an impending clash of civilizations. In creating the "good versus evil" and "you’re with us or against us" doctrine, Mr. Bush further solidified his stance when he used the term "Islamic fascists".

My companion that afternoon had done his research. He had read many books on the Hadith and Fiqh, and translations of the Holy Qur'an. His argument was that Islam is inherently violent and on a collision course with other religions. He quoted examples of verses or incidents in religious scripture to back his suspicions.

Eight years of Mr. Bush spouting in the same vein and a highly unpopular war in Iraq did not help foster closer understanding. Just the opposite was true. Muslims were quickly portrayed to be the bad guys in the Western media, who had sinister intentions against a peace-loving Western world. Every act of terrorism committed by some nut calling himself a soldier of Allah or a jihadist was considered a well-planned and deeply covert operation sanctioned by the more than 1.3 billion Muslims on the planet.

I tried to explain to him that the West faces no threat from Islam. Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in the world, and not by force but by acceptance of its values and message, and it really is a religion of peace. Islam forbids forced conversions. More significantly, it is a religion that focuses on the individual and his salvation.

It is also a universal religion that ignores nationality, race, rank and color. To become a Muslim, one must believe in one God, acknowledge Muhammad as his Prophet, recognize the Holy Qur'an as the word of God, pray five times a day, provide for the poor through the payment of zakat and, if possible, make a journey once in a lifetime to Makkah to perform the grand pilgrimage or Haj. The God Muslims worship is the same God Christians and Jews worship.

Islam’s tolerance toward other faiths has been well documented. The oldest Christian communities in the world are all in Muslim countries. There have always been Christian and Jewish communities in the Muslim world. The disputes the West considers as clashes of ideologies in today’s Middle East are not religious; they are actually about secular matters, with the principle element being the unresolved Israeli occupation of Arab lands.

Why then were there not voices of opposition to the acts of terrorism, no public condemnation or outrage, my companion demanded? If the truth be told, there have been countless such acts of censure by various religious or government figures across the Muslim world. Media personnel across the Middle East have been relentlessly attacking such cowardly acts as well. Unfortunately, such words of condemnation do not grab the headlines. The demonization of Muslims is good for business. It sells a lot of print. There has to be a bad guy, with a multitude of other evil plotters lurking in the shadowy background.

I would not deny that terrorism exists. But it exists among Muslims, Christians and Jews. For the guilty Muslims, it is their 15-minute moment of fame as they hold their heads high proclaiming themselves to be jihadists and the Western media loves it. Their twisted and immoral acts dominate prime time TV or print space. But they do not and will not be representative of the billion plus peace-loving Muslims living in many countries of the world.

I suggested to my companion that the way to better understand Muslims and Islam is to reach out to them and not necessarily just in the United States. Go visit some of the Islamic countries, I said. The way to combat the fanaticism and improve inter-faith understanding is to extend the hand of friendship to ordinary Muslims. He would find that their primary concern is with their existence and making a living just as anyone else in other parts of the world. They are not spending their free moments engrossed in grand designs to destroy the West or other cultures and faiths. To slander and libel Muslims and Islam as such is grave injustice. It smacks of bigotry.

And to make up one’s mind on the basis of information garnered through translated versions of religious transcripts leaves one often at the mercy of the interpretation which can be deceptive.

It is best for one to witness with his eyes and mind what the other part of the world sees in him. Over a cup of coffee, that is what I recommended to my companion as a first step toward better understanding.

An American woman's perspective on the Boston Marathon Bombings

It is quite ironical that after having a lengthy discussion with regards to the Boston marathon bombings on a friends facebook page, I landed up having guests from the USA for lunch on Sunday afternoon. One of the woman in the group was highly qualified with a masters in higher education. Whilst discussing various topics, the subject about the Boston marathon came up and without voicing my opinion, this is what the lady said ( I wish I taped it), ' I am an American citizen but I'm sorry to say that what happened at the Marathon was definitely staged. The American people do not trust the government and the media any longer. The fact that they implicated Americans of Cechnyan origin is just ludicrous for the following reason. The young Chechnyan men who were apprehended for the blasts came into the USA under refugee status fleeing the war in Bosnia years ago. They were very young when they left Bosnia and hence their mindset and ideologies are that of a typical American child. Why would you bomb people that have granted you a place to stay. As a refugee in the USA your moves and daily activities are traced and tracked. Are you a productive member of society, are you working, studying etc. If these young men were involved with Chechnyan militants as the news reports claim why were their activities not picked up earlier. She further mentioned quite correctly that whilst all the mainstream news channels reported about the incident throughout the week over and over again, none of the news channels reported about the USA army "mistakenly" bombing a wedding gathering in Afghanistan on April 17th killing 30 innocent civilians. The idiotic soldiers without gathering the correct information supposedly thought that the celebratory gunfire which usually occurs at all Afghani weddings was in actual fact a gathering for a military operation and bombed the wedding killing 30 people. Why wasn't this reported in the mainstream media? North Korea has been threatening the USA for some time now and so over the last few months the American people are questioning their government about their safety. Will the government be able to defend its people if Korea strikes.. In order to divert the peoples attention, they staged a terror attack and within a few hours, voila the criminals are caught. Well done boys.. We can defend the country thereby reinforcing the idea that the government can protect its people thereby allowing harsher laws and policies to be imposed onto the American people thereby stripping American citizens of their independence and autonomy." She further mentioned that being a Muslim in America is difficult. During her trip to South Africa out of a whole long queue of people only she and her mom were asked to step aside for a full body pat search simply because she wore a hijaab and was a Muslim. She said America talks about discrimination, racism to other countries, yet as a Muslim you are being discriminated against on a daily basis. I was shocked at a story she related to us. She said that if you are a Muslim don't be surprised if the FBI or the CIA knock at your door without a search warrant, arrest you and torture you to confess to crimes you did not commit. A community doctor residing in her neighourhood was an American citizen. He was however, a Muslim too. The FBI raided his home without a search warrant, took him away for over a year without his family knowing where he was. They had no evidence or proof to charge him against anything. So finally they charged him with providing money to a terrorist organization on the grounds that they found three thousand dollars in his home. After one and half years they released him but also stripped him of his professional licence.

Islam has always been a religion of peace. It does not condone the killing of innocent people at the hands of suicide bombers. Sadly though the majority of people in the world have no idea how the intelligence agencies work. These agencies are dogged with carrying out undercover operations that have affected the lives of thousands of people whilst shifting the blame onto someone else in order to enhance a political objective. I knew of people involved in the intelligence who are no more. There was a Syrian man who is actually a school friend of a colleague of mine. He was the head of a military operation in Syria a good few years ago. Whilst in Moscow he was introduced to a Jewish woman and within a period of time she became his wife. As a member of the Syrian military, he is not allowed to marry a non Syrian woman due to security reasons. Hence he built a home in Moscow and traveled between Syria and Russia. He also told his wife that he will only accept her if she became a Muslim. He was married to the woman for 20 years and had two kids with her. One day when he returned to Moscow, he found that his house was empty. He found a note from his wife saying that she has returned to Israel and that she was in fact a spy for Mossad, Israel's intelligence agency. She was assigned to access information about Syria's military operations and also be involved with planting bombs at strategic places which was not mentioned. She was not a Muslim but rather a devout Jew and her kids were also roped into the Mossad at a later stage. After realizing that his wife had betrayed him, and knowing that he has indirectly betrayed his own country, the man committed suicide...

The Boston Marathon Bombings - An Inside Job

So I guess I am not the only one who sees a different picture with regards to the Boston Marathon bombings. Thanks Muhammed Bikhoo for sharing this video with me. It highlights many of the issues that I have discussed on Ismail Mahomed's facebook page earlier this morning.

I believe that the Boston marathon was a staged terror attack carried out by the American government, the CIA and FBI. There are just too many coincidences and reports that don't make any sense. Strange that CNN, SKY and BBC reported a Saudi national as the initial suspect less than two hours after the blast..They have utilized the very same tactics as the 9/11 attacks which has now been proven through hundreds of books and video publications as being a staged terror attack carried out by the American government..The ruthless American regime will stop at nothing to achieve their goals to further enhance their Islamophobic agenda and secure oil wealth..However, what they fail to understand is that it is not America who is in charge of this universe, it is God Almighty and hence with time the truth always prevails and good always triumphs over evil..

So at first they blamed a Saudi national, a poor student who was in the country to learn English. He was basically at the wrong place at the wrong time. Now they have shifted the blame to two American citizens of Chechnyan Muslim descent and have linked their activities to Islamic Militant groups in Chechnya. I am hundred percent sure that the two brothers were either set up by the FBI, were working as spies or were informants within the CIA just like Mr. Bin Laden who miraculously disappeared and is of course now sitting in the tummy of a fish. They dropped his body at sea remember... What rubbish. Do the Americans honestly believe that the world will believe their crap blindly...

As the journalist in the video states, " The American government will murder innocent civilians, Barack Obama and his administration, the Bushes before him, they will murder you; they will murder Americans, they will murder men, women and children to achieve their political objectives. Take a look at what they have been doing in Iraq and Afghanistan in the past decade. Look at the invasion in Iraq. Remember September 11th, it was supposedly Saudi nationals who flew those planes into the world trade center. If you believe that official/unofficial story or propaganda. Yet we didn't invade Saudi Arabia, one of our allies; No, we invaded Iran on a false pretense, lie, a premise that Iran had weapons of mass destruction."

Their lives changed the day she was born..

Little Wadha is a cute, adorable five year old child. She is the apple of her father's eye being the first born and like all kids she loves going outside and playing with other children but due to her medical condition she is unable to enjoy her life to the fullest. She was born in the UK after her parents moved there to allow her dad to complete his masters degree in law. Wadha was born with a hole in the heart which is a very common congenital heart defect that can be fixed very easily through advanced technological advancements that we have nowadays. Almost 90% of kids with this type of medical condition lead very normal and productive lives as the hole simply closes on its own over time or by a simple medical procedure. Wadha's parents nightmare started when the child was moved to the ICU after delivery and contracted a nosocomial infection or a hospital acquired infection due to unsterilized medical equipment. The infection spread quickly and targeted Wadha's heart and so she required an urgent operation to remove the infection which was becoming more and more resistant to antibiotics.

Unfortunately due to negligence on the part of the surgeon, the infection was scraped away but at the same time the doctor damaged her heart valve. A few days after the surgery the little girls medical condition worsened. Her dad then decided to lay a complaint against the surgeon and the hospital with the UK medical ethics committee. The hospital management and the surgeon were not willing to accept the negligence carried out on their part. Wadha's dad being a lawyer himself then decided to proceed with legal action with the assistance of the Saudi embassy in London. Mr.Al Dossari related his four year ordeal to me regarding the numerous court appearances in the UK and the hostility and resentment he faced by the medical team that treated his daughter. The hospital refused to accept responsibility for the little girl's deteriorating medical condition until realizing that Mr. Al Dossari had sufficient evidence against them. The hospital management then decided to meet with Mr. Al Dossari in private and hand him an apology letter along with a healthy sum of money. Wadha's dad refused the plea bargain and proceeded with legal action. After four years of court proceedings the judge ruled in favour of Mr. Al Dossari. He also ordered that the hospital be shut down due to a lack of hygiene and suspended the surgeon from practicing medicine for a period of six years internationally. The hospital management was naturally not impressed with the outcome and then through media channels implicated Mr. Al Dossari as being part of a terrorist organization having links with Al Qaeeda. They claimed that Mr. Dossari was in the UK not to study or further his degree but was in the country to plot a terror attack. Mr. Al Dossari related to me that his life over the past four years has been a nightmare and that if he wasn't a Muslim having full faith in ALLAH he would not have been able to go through this trial and tribulation that he and his wife have faced whilst in the UK. The hospital superintendent had connections with various media moghuls to turn the story upside down and implicate Mr. Al Dossari as having ties with terrorist organizations and hence did not deserve to receive medical treatment in the UK in the first place. The little girl though has British nationality as she was born in the UK.
The outcome though of their dilemma was that the lawyer representing the hospital realized that his clients were using the media to taint the image of Wadha's dad simply because he is a Muslim attired in an Islamic dress code and adopting a full Islamic way of life.On witnessing how Wadhas dad won the trial despite many hardships and obstacles, the man became a Muslim and opted to no longer represent the hospital in any further legal proceedings.

 Mr. Al Dossari mentioned that in Saudi there is a common misconception that anything from the west is the best. Many VIP members of society would opt to have doctors from Canada or the USA or the UK and look down upon Saudi doctors as though the quality of care provided by a Saudi doctor is inferior to the care given in the UK or the USA for that matter. He stated that this type of attitude needs to change. Wadha has thus far undergone five operations. She had three unsuccessful operations in the UK and has thus far had two successful operations in Saudi Arabia by a Saudi surgeon to repair the damaged heart valve as well as the hole in the heart. With God's grace she has one more operation left which will be carried out when she reaches the age of ten years. Wadhas dad said that he can never forget the kindness and generosity shown to him by all the Muslim communities in the UK who came out in their hundreds to the court house to witness the court proceedings. He mentioned that they had taken to the streets after the media implicated Mr. Al Dossari as being part of a terrorist organization. I guess this is the deceitful mannerism of the west. Whenever a western country faces any kind of loss they utilize the media to disseminate incorrect information to the masses to change the mindset of the people in their favour. After all, the television is the biggest weapon of mass destruction in my opinion and perhaps it is for that reason that the world famous Steve Jobs banned his own kids from watching any television.With God's help Mr. Al Dossari has passed his life's biggest test and trial according to him and I pray that little Wadha's frail body gets stronger each day so that she can enjoy a normal life like any other child.
